Curious about a typical day in our centre?

GUELC’s hours are 7:30AM to 5:30PM. The early morning, 7:30AM-8:45AM, begins with breakfast, open-ended play and social opportunities for the children to connect with their peers and engage with one another. Our early learning program begins at 9:00AM and runs through to 11:30AM. Programming currently includes music and movement, French language learning, and yoga. Our Centre breaks for lunch from 11:30AM-12:30PM. Lunch is prepared by our Red Seal Chef and meets all critical nutritional components, as set out by Canada's Food Guide and is very familiar with allergy and/or dietary ensuring each child has these needs met. Children in our Wonder Room (19 months-3.5 years) have quiet rest time from 12:30PM-2:30PM, while the rest of the Centre resumes programming from 12:30PM to 3:30PM. At 3:30PM, the children enjoy an afternoon snack and the remainder of the day allows for open exploration until our Centre closes at 5:30PM.

Enrollment

Please note:
Due to our licensing agreement, our program can only accommodate children who are a minimum age of 19 months and completely proficient in the area of toileting. This means they are independent in all processes of toileting (including wiping, advising teachers when they need to use the bathroom, etc.) and no longer wear pull-ups during programming hours.

We are so pleased that you are considering our program!
If you would like to register your child, please complete the attached form and submit it with the non-refundable wait list fee of $100.00/application. Our tuition includes all programming supplies, field trips, and our culinary program, please contact admissions for further details.

While we do not provide tours until an opening is available in the classroom of interest, we have sample images of our classrooms in our Gallery. In order to avoid interruption of the learning taking place in the classrooms, we will contact an eligible family on the wait-list and invite them for a scheduled tour.
